The world as it is today is an unconscious projection of humanity’s inner longings outwards
We live in unprecedented and beautiful times. Generally speaking, the world has never been so pleasurable place for living. Such wealthy, bursting with activity, connection, loaded with technology and astonishing scientific discoveries. Space travelling, almost real-behaving robots, shopping centres full of goods, cars driven by themselves and so on. Life became really comfortable and easy-going. At least for some of us, in the western world. As long as we are rich enough, we can easily buy almost anything from anywhere in the world nowadays. Which then can be delivered by our door the next day. And we manage all this by a few clicks from our smartphone.
Amazing what we have achieved!
And yet, something is missing. The wealthier and easier life seems to be, the more we seem to suffer. It is indeed a very strange dependency. I read a quite bleak prediction by the World Health Organization about the mental health crisis approaching us in the next 10-15 years. While I don’t see humanity’s destiny in such negative eyes, we will definitely have to undergo an inevitable major change in the next years as a collective. However, it won’t be an outer change primarily – as we, in our unconsciousness, believe and behave according to. In fact, the “outer” change will only be a consequence. The Whole, humanity, seems to be ready to make an important evolutionary leap soon. Some people call this phenomenon “A great change”.
So what the heck is “in the air”?
According to the great plan of evolution, which Dr. Wilfried Nelles put into his model of the evolution of consciousness, humanity is undergoing a transition to psychological maturity. An important step from the adolescent consciousness into adulthood.
To our surprise we are, collectively, just slowly approaching the “Point Zero” – the cusp of the adolescence. A fore-step into the emptiness of adulthood. It doesn’t apply so much individually as collectively, but the collective growth can only follow the growth of certain individuals who simply function as “a change pioneers”. And obviously, the success of a collective transition depends on the success of their transition into adulthood. It’s the time for the fall of the night before the dawn can rise. But the dawn is so very far from us. For we will first have to realize our emptiness inside. By meeting and facing our own individual shadow – which is, in essence, a collective shadow. Until then, we will all be hopelessly trying to fill this inner emptiness by accumulating outer issues and profits – new cars, big houses, “successful” projects, huge salaries, expensive clothes, gold and diamond accessories, selfies posted on social media and, by endlessly propagating our unconscious behaviour, more karma.
In this regard, one could say that the current humanity’s approach to life may be called “a mistaking of the direction“. As we are now looking outside for what we are longing for. But it’s just a step within the great schedule of evolution.
A few weeks ago a lady asked me for a one-on-one session. I know her for some time but we haven’t seen each other for almost two years. A very soft and fragile woman in her middle-age. She had some personal issues trying to “fix-up” her environment so that everyone is happy and fulfilled. Her two sons, her parents, her ex-partner and herself too. Of course, she didn’t succeed. She was in a relationship for years just because of the collective beliefs, she said. To look “as a good woman and mother” in the eyes of others. While living in quiet desperation and suffering inwardly. And when she realized it, she left her ex-partner along with her children. Now she moved into another town, found a job she enjoys and tries to maintain and improve the relationship with her sons that worsen after their move. Also trying to keep a good relationship with her ex-partner, his family and her parents. She simply tries to please everybody around to keep and maintain the image of “a happy family” and avoid the conflict by any means. Regardless of this childish desire of hers, which is ultimately bound to fail and the fact that it all serves only as a distraction from the true source of the problem, I shortly after our meeting have realized something.
I realized that what she’s looking for, though still unconsciously – by fixating to the outside world, is peace…
Peace with ourselves is what we are all after. We can exchange this single word for many others, nevertheless, there’s always the same essence behind – love, freedom, silence, liberation, truth, even enlightenment. But we are mistakenly searching for peace outside, in all our surroundings. In our living environment, in our work environment, in our relationships and partners, business goals, spiritual search and so on. For we cannot see that peace is everywhere, every time and in everyone. That it has nothing to do with our surroundings. It’s underneath everything. It’s here all along, from the very beginning. It’s our innate essence. We just don’t realize it. Because we are still obsessively fixated to the outer world of forms. Mentally and physically transfixed. Identified with the physical realm and with that what our mind serves us. Cling to the illusion which we unconsciously believe in and therefore manifest.
The thing is that we have lost touch with our true selves. We are completely cut off from the source, from our Essence. In our unconsciousness, we do whatever we can to oppress the true-self, the aliveness in us. Along with our shadows somewhere into the unconscious. And it all begins and ends with oppressing our natural sexuality. As if it would be something sinful, instead of accepting and honouring it as an absolutely natural and innocent part of us. Shockingly, we are terribly afraid of it and thus we are afraid of ourselves. Actually, in what we are all most afraid of, in our sexuality, lies our true power. And that’s what is terrifying us. More precisely, it is terrifying our shadow which we are fully identified with.
It’s not about the relationships between man and woman only. It’s about any relationship. What we don’t understand is that deep down it is actually about our relationship with ourselves. Most importantly, with our true-self, our essence. It’s not about other people, it never has been. It has nothing to do with them whatsoever! They only serve as a mirror. Fellow travellers. Because if we dare to look closer, we would see that in truth we all have just one single relationship. And that is the relationship with ourselves. All other relationships, “affairs” or belongings to other people are nothing but a reflection of this primal one. As such they only manifest the state of our relationship to ourselves. That being said, actually whatever issue we have, deep down, goes back to the relationship with ourselves.
The statement above seems to be evolutionary. Because it means that we won’t solve our issues by digging in the past. By trying to find out what happened in our childhood, what happened to our parents or grandparents or any ancestors. That’s madness and it leads nowhere. Issues we are facing has nothing to do with our family whatsoever. It’s a blind way which only keeps us in the victimhood. The source of all problems, that is if there are any problems, lies here in the present. Not in the past. And so lies the solution too.
However, to see this with clarity requires to realize and accept a simple fact – that we are each completely alone. Which is the very prerequisite of entering adulthood itself. Aloneness is a purely innate state of the adult human being. A step into aloneness is like jumping into a dark bottomless well. It leads inside rather than outside. It’s a turning within. And it has nothing to do with loneliness, with isolation. It annihilates the isolation. And following this, it annihilates all the attachments to others. What then opens the space to truly love them. Instead of misidentifying them with our parents or our inner aspects and being cling to them. Or identifying ourselves with still being children of our parents. But above all, it opens the path to our true selves. The path of reconnection with our essence. The only aspect of ours that can lead us out of our unconsciousness. Out of our identification with the past.
For until we will integrate the past which keeps propagating our unconscious behaviour, we will forever remain trapped in the vicious circle of our suffering over and over again. As one of my fellow travellers and an honourable man says: “We don’t have to do anything. Life heals. If we allow it”. Though “if we allow it” seems to be the most important part of his statement…
Most of us are still playing the roles of Moms and Dads to each other in relationships. Without pausing to considerate anything. We simply bow our heads into the sand and pretend we are living a happy, joyful and fulfilling life. Unconsciously ignoring and oppressing the unintegrated charge we carry in our bodies for ages – which mostly comes up as some kind of physical or emotional pain. And stepping back in the first sense of encountering a connection with this charge. Immediately drowning ourselves back into our endless addictions – taking a cigarette, a glass of wine, going to eat something, drowning in our modern technological distractions or any other attention-taking unconscious habit we adopted in all the years. And thus getting back into the pleasure & pain cycle. We do this for millennia. And then we go on studying psychology, attending specialized seminars, psychologists, healers, therapies and similar institutions. Only to find out one day that it doesn’t work. That nobody can ever save us or heal us. And that we only cling again to somebody else.
So what are we all waiting for? What else must happen to move with our indifference, inertia, ignorance, selfishness and greed?
For now, we are all, naturally, searching for the source and reason of our problems outside. As well as for its solutions. Which is the reason we cannot find solutions and solve the problems. For we will have to “switch the direction” first and realize the wider perspective. Along with the fact, that the whole world is one grand hall of mirrors. In which the solutions lie inside of the problems and the problems remain in the mirrors…
We might need to see at some point that all the problems, issues, losses, diseases and disasters are here only to show us something. What if they are here to show us exactly what needs to be integrated? For us to grow and for the Whole to move forward. But only if we let go of all the drama around and open ourselves to receive “the core message”.
Maybe the message of our “failed” marriage is not that “I’ve been cheated and hurt again”, but instead it is something like “It is me who constantly hurt myself. For I do not honour a man. Or a woman…” – for what he or she is doing for me and us. And therefore, I needed this lesson. Could I possibly lost the child because in truth I didn’t want it? Perhaps we didn’t get sick because we are so very poor victims of life and its circumstances. But because of our stubbornness, indifference and ignorance, life couldn’t find a gentler “tool” any more of how to shake up with us and wake us from our illusions. By the way, the latter example is very personal to me.
At this place, it would be fair to point out that often it’s not truly our fault how we behave, for we “received” our ancestral patterns as a heritage. And until a certain point, we run them completely unconsciously. Deep down, we are all innocent. Even the most horrendous massive killers sitting in prisons for life. However, it’s we who have to take responsibility to unravel and neutralize them. And the endless victim play and avoiding won’t help us and doesn’t lead anywhere.
I just passed by a lady without a left hand on the street when I went for a cup of tea this morning. The first thought which came to my mind was: “Terrible! She doesn’t have a hand! What a poor being”. But I haven’t taken this one. As today I know where it comes from. Instead, I waited for a while. And then something else came: “Don’t feel pity for her. For this is exactly how you undermine her true-self and her ability to take responsibility for herself. Maybe it’s required for her. To allow her to integrate her unconscious belief, that she’s incomplete and not good enough”. And somehow I felt, that this one is true.
A day before I was walking down the street and a beggar was sitting on his trolley-chair. He seemed miserable. With his leg half-cut, poorly dressed. And a cigarette in his mouth. And there was that silent voice somewhere from my head coming: “Give him a few pence”. And I, finally after many years, said “No” to the voice. And it asked: “Why? He’s suffering. Don’t you see?!”. And I responded: “Yes. He’s suffering. Very deeply. But not enough, yet…” For he still needs the same lesson. Over and over again. To realize one day, why is he suffering. Then, and only then will he, slowly over time, gain more awareness of his unconscious behaviour which constantly draws him back into his suffering.
We choose suffering over freedom because we think the path to freedom leads through some “spiritual events & seminars” or that it will happen by itself as a miracle. And when we realize what kind of “work” does the path to freedom entails, we got discouraged or afraid. And yet, there is no suffering and no shadow at the end. Not really. It’s just a great play of life. The sum of all life’s tricks placed in front of us. To enable us to evolve and dig out the light hidden inside. And thus keep the evolution going on. But we still have to play the game.
So, the funny thing is that we have to suffer. We cannot possibly avoid suffering. For only by drowning deeply into our suffering and reaching the very bottom of the Well can we finally realize that we don’t have to suffer. But we inevitably have to reach that bottom first. There’s no other way. That’s the paradox of the light hidden inside of the darkness.
And until we will liberate the light from inside of the darkness, we will forever remain blind and unconsciously projecting our inner longings outwards, into the physical world of manifestation.
All the world, currently as it is, everything we can see and experience, is nothing but an unconscious projection of our inner longings outwards. In other words, it’s an outer projection of the collective unconscious. Of its archetypal content – through the lens of adolescence. That be our material surroundings, our behaviour and our history. The modern society we have “created”, all the systems and collective bodies which are in place and we have to maintain – all the current state of Life itself. All of it is nothing but an unconscious projection of the inner world outside. Because that is the core paradigm of the adolescent consciousness we live in. For we are nowhere else at this moment but in the ages of the adolescent consciousness. In our collective teenage. Which haven’t even realized profoundly its own emptiness, futility and lack of any deeper purpose or meaning. It’s on the way, things are changing and moving slowly, but we are far away from our collective dream of “the world where all will be the one”.
I give you a few examples, should you allow me:
Most of us are completely obsessed with our children. We are living the whole lives “for them”, at least a lot of Moms and Grandmoms are convinced that this is their life role (instead of helping them to grow up, giving them the best we can and then let them go their way). Then we become cling to them, identify them with the role they play and we keep interfering in their lives forever. Without seeing and realizing their role – which is nothing but an archetypal reflection of our inner child which we search for.
We all dream about big, luxury, beautiful houses and powerful “representative” cars. Instead of realizing that what we are really up to is a powerful vehicle with the strength of a bear and “a sacred temple the King would be able to approach one day”. For centuries we are building the churches, castles and lately skyscrapers and huge shopping centres. Instead of finally building the temples we are, in truth, looking for.
The modern society is especially obsessed with wealth, richness, success and money. Instead of realizing that what we long for is our energy, inner power and abundance of awareness. Which is the only thing that can truly fulfil us from inside and eventually lead to liberation one day. That by searching for the empty outer “goals” we are actually oppressing what we are up to, is another story.
Some of us spend our whole lives around food, cooking or watching the cooking programmes on TV. Utterly obsessed with food in all forms and tastes. Filling our stomachs with the “7-stars medium roasted Argentinian rib-eye steak”. Instead of letting ourselves to ingest the true “food” we are after. And which can only be found down, inside of the Well.
Virtually the same applies to our relationship towards “Love”. Which became a by-product of our childish romantic beliefs rooted in the TV soap-operas, a “fashion-style ideal” and a business article of the St. Valentine’s Day rather than an unconditional giving. It usually manifests only as a borderless clinging to the others we pretend to be in a relationship with. Unconsciously mistaking them for our Moms and Dads and being completely unable to face them as they are – and thus to love them.
Then we try to drown our huge lack of true love and intimacy along with the consequent suffering in our addictions. To name one of many in shopping and our obsession with the accumulation of goods of any type. For example, clothes, which especially but not exclusively applies to women. It’s not anything new or unknown that most of the women are completely out of minds from the expensive, luxurious clothes and accessories. And men are not behind lately. What we are really up to are not clothes, jewellery or luxurious accessories. But “the body of light” which we would like to dress in and which shines much more beautifully than the most expensive and valued diamond in the whole world.
Can we not mention at this point all the scents and fragrances the perfumeries are full of? And what about our natural “scent”, the scent of the aura, of our innate radiance? Have you seen the movie “Perfume – the story of the murderer”? I believe it might easily be a true story. Just unconsciously projected into the world of manifestation and placed into a form of a movie. The “murderer” could be nothing but the natural radiance of the one who has opened his heart and whose presence simply kills the ego – or in other words the sum of all unconscious pattern’s projection wherever such a person goes. While uncovering the truth which lies underneath – the power of our sexuality. A phenomenon we are all most afraid of. Exactly like in that movie.
Even if much less than in the past centuries, we still create art. And I don’t mean the “flat art of the adolescence” which the world is full of at these days. Some of us still write beautiful and interesting books, produce a lot of different movies, like Romeo & Juliet, Avatar, Dr.Strange or Godfather to name a few. Whereas they are nothing but the outer manifestation of the collective archetypes, they represent our inner longing unconsciously projected outwards – as, in truth, we are all looking for our “inner heroes” who would lead us through our own, archetypal baptism. For our inner Robin Hood’s, Romeos & Juliets, the “Aiwa trees” from Avatar or our own Dr.Strange which will save us from our mortal illusions and lock the Devil inside of the time loop forever…
I used to work in IT for many years and so I cannot forget to mention the modern unconscious form of the inner oneness. The inherent Unity connecting us together which we are all up to – namely the “World Wide Web” or simply the Internet. Along with the invention of “wifi” – an invisible net that we can connect to anytime we wish for.
I see some of my friends and acquaintances to undergo the pilgrim’s journeys in various countries in recent years. And I always felt oddly watching such intentions. For we step on the “Camino de Santiago” or any other pilgrim route because we do not realize that the true path to Compostela leads inward. Through the intangible fields, meanders and valleys of our darkness. It leads through the misty labyrinth, like the one in the cathedral of Chartres, into the depths of our heart.
And the last but not least example from my beloved field, dedicated to all my friends and dear nature lovers. For years we are “fighting” the global warming and trying to “save” the planet in our blind and childishly naive beliefs that the Earth needs our help. Instead of seeing that who desperately need help is us and that the whole issue of global warming stems from the current stage of evolution and our oppressing of the true-self. Of the energy wanting to flow throughout our bodies but being unable due to our oppressive unconscious behaviour and therefore getting accumulated inside us. Where it is creating a tremendous amount of pressure which then forms nothing but heat. Now imagine almost all of humanity is unconsciously propagating such behaviour for ages – out of 7,7 billion bodies as of July 2019. And we all know from physics what happens if more and more of heat is being accumulated each day in an enclosed system, without a way to process it. Besides a small part of humanity which, at least, release some of it. Constant piling up of the heat that doesn’t have an outlet! It’s not about the burning of fossil fuels and forests and exhaust emissions. Well, not really. That’s a sham, an illusion, a distraction away from the true source of the problem and an unconscious projection of our blindness. But one day, the heat within our bodies will have to be processed – whether by this civilisation or another one. And life just goes on. With or without us. And whether we call the energy oppressed and stacked inside our bodies anger, rage, ancestral memories, fear, emotional charge, mental health issues, karma, illness of any kind or otherwise is completely irrelevant.
We can continue endlessly with these examples…
And if anybody thinks that there is a part of humanity or people who are somehow out of this unconscious game, living the so-called “conscious life”, I would like to tell you a short story one of my old friends shared with me a few years ago. It’s his personal story. From the spiritual community, namely shamanic circles. It was a small group of people led by one well-known shaman who intended to “cross the portal to the other world” and ideally not to come back to this suffering again, as he stated. When I asked him that time what does he mean by the “portal to the other world and what other world is he talking about”, I only received a very serious look along with a question mark in his eyes as to how could I asked such a stupid thing. Well, I have to admit that I am quite inexperienced in the field of modern spirituality and esoteric sciences. Anyway, they chose one splendid cave as the “place of magic”. It’s called the Ialomita Cave, with the huge Bears Hall inside, situated in the Bucegi Mountains in Romania. So they secretly went inside a cave in a deep night, during the full moon and they set the fire at one of the corridors. The fire was supposed to create the magic portal. He was there alone with one woman, the rest got afraid just before the action and didn’t enter the cave. Long story short, they ended up by running out of the cave full of smoke from the burning wood, unable to breathe, with some man shouting at them as the cave is being used as a tourist destination and guarded. They didn’t succeed to “cross the portal to other dimensions” and everybody was very disappointed. The point of this story is that we are so unconscious we can’t even imagine. Regardless of what we believe in. The so-called “spiritual circles and communities” included as first. And the whole story is indeed true! It’s a reflection of the ancient archetypal story each one of us has to undergo at some point. Which surfaced from their unconscious. But instead of letting it work inside them and allow the transformation to happen, they identified with the images flowing outside and thus projected their inner longing outwards. For if you still need some crystals, outer portals, rocks, skulls, oracle spheres or shamanic drums to connect with your inner world, it only means that you don’t know yet what the “inner” is and that you do not trust in yourself, your inner strength and power.
And there’s nothing wrong about it. It’s a current stage of the evolution. We just need to see and acknowledge that. That’s all! For the beginning.
The bottom line is, of course, that everything is right as it is. And all is happening according to the great plan of evolution. Just, for the moment, through the perspective and a form of manifestation of the adolescent consciousness. Which is, in its youthfulness, inner emptiness and deep oppression of the true aliveness focused on the outer goals, achievements, “performance”, metrics, numbers, tables, “spiritual forms” and all the hopeless urge for the outer success, gain and false magic.
The good news is that all will become possible for us as humanity. We will be travelling into space! But inwardly. We will wield magical powers and we will be crossing the other world’s portals. But inwardly! We will be functioning precisely like programmed robots – at the moment we will align with our essence and start to follow the inner instructions from our source. Our cars will be driven by themselves. But our “cars” will be nothing but our own vehicles, the bodies of glory surrounding our presence.
And what does it take? Leaping into the void. Into the emptiness of our inner darkness. Stepping into “the Well” and digging out our true essence. The pure light. Our innocence, hidden inside us from the beginning of time. Thus discerning it out of the ancestral past we carry in our bodies for ages.
For how long will it take? It takes as long as it takes. For there’s no end to what life is…
